Frac-Out Prevention & Water-Flow Management: Level 1

i-4Level One: Frak-Out Prevention & Water-Flow Management was developed to address the numerous losses/consequences that occur when a frac-out incident takes place. It is a four-day, classroom-based training session, focused on distinguishing the fundamental differences between a frac and a frac-out. It will emphasize down-hole pressures that cause fractures and the warning signs associated to this, so that the fracture can be managed. When warning signals indicate there has been an uncontrolled release of drilling fluid to surface, students will be instructed on the mathematical principles and calculations that must be conducted in order to successfully regain control of the situation. Included in this will be the necessary legislative procedures that must be followed for remediation and clean-up.

i-7Level One is instrumental for anyone working on a horizontal directional drilling rig. It is also intended for anyone who would be involved in any HDD project, including supervisors, managers, engineers, associated personnel and all rig workers who have hands on with the mud system and mud pump equipment.
